drinking that wine, stretching time". I think Van Morrison was on to something. Drinking wine is a great way to past the time and just relax and so is stretching. But what happens to the body during stretching?


According to Biomechanist Michael K. Rowley stretching increases flexibility in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Frequent stretching decreases the reflex loop, which contracts the muscle to prevent injury. So, stretching positively changes your body's physiology and response to pain. Pole fitness is a safe and fun way to improve flexibility, because it involves 2 types of stretching; to be discussed in the next post.
